About the role
We are looking for an experienced Python Software Developer to join our growing team. You will be responsible for designing, developing, testing, and maintaining desktop and web-based applications using Python. You will collaborate with our team to understand project requirements, develop reliable software solutions, and deliver high-quality applications for our clients. This is a full-time remote opportunity for a developer who enjoys solving technical challenges and building practical software solutions.
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, test, and maintain desktop and web applications using Python.
- Build user-friendly desktop applications using frameworks such as PyQt, PySide, or Tkinter.
- Develop web applications and backend services using Django, Flask, or FastAPI.
- Build and integrate RESTful APIs and third-party services.
- Design, manage, and optimize databases such as MySQL or MongoDB.
- Write clean, reusable, and maintainable code following software development best practices.
- Identify, troubleshoot, and resolve software bugs and performance issues.
- Test applications to ensure functionality, reliability, and security.
- Deploy applications to hosting environments and support live project maintenance.
- Collaborate with team members to deliver projects within agreed timelines.
Requirements
- Minimum 3+ years of professional experience in Python software development.
- Strong knowledge of Python programming and object-oriented programming.
- Experience developing desktop and web applications using Python.
- Hands-on experience with at least one desktop framework, such as PyQt, PySide, or Tkinter.
- Experience with web frameworks such as Django, Flask, or FastAPI.
- Good understanding of database design, SQL, and database integration.
- Experience developing and integrating RESTful APIs.
- Familiarity with Git and version control systems.
- Strong debugging, problem-solving, and analytical skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaborate effectively in a remote team.
Good to have
- Experience packaging desktop applications for Windows or other operating systems.
- Knowledge of web hosting, server configuration, and live project deployment.
- Familiarity with Docker, CI/CD pipelines, and automated testing.
- Knowledge of frontend technologies such as HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.
- Experience managing and maintaining production applications.
- Familiarity with tools such as Trello or similar project management platforms.
